Happy New Year,

I hope that the holidays were a great time for you and your family and friends. As you will see from the attached Calendar of Events, there are lots of ways for you to get involved in your North Shore Republican Branch (NSRB) and Republican Party of Milwaukee County (RPMC).

For those of you who were able to attend our Fall Event with Congressman Mark Neumann, thank you. We learned that Congressman Neumann has been very busy with the School Choice issue as well as running his construction business not to mention filling in for Mark Belling and keeping his pulse on State and Federal issues. The NSR Branch is now busy planning the upcoming February 13th Lincoln Day Dinner and Caucus. Our Guest speakers are GOP Gubernatorial Candidates Mark Green and County Executive Scott Walker. In this busy election year we need to start building our grassroots organization. Ruth McGuire, 1st Vice Chair of the NSRB has taken on the role of Grassroots Organizer Ruth can be contacted at rmmcquire@wi.rr.com Our goal is a lofty one and that is to organize every ward in the North Shore similar to the organizational structure that was utilized for the Presidential Campaign. The Republican Party of Wisconsin is conducting a free “Grassroots Training Program on February 25th at the RPW Headquarters, 7223 W. Greenfield Avenue at 10:00 a.m. Please try and attend this very informative session. If you can not attend the session, please get involved in one of the many 2006 campaigns. All the Republican candidates need your vote, your time and yes, your check to beat the incumbents. Since we have one of the latest statewide partisan primaries in the country we need to be ready to go and HELP GET OUT THE REPUBLICAN VOTE!

The State Republican Convention is schedule for weekend of May 19th at the Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton. If anyone is interested in attending the Convention as an Alternate or a Delegate please contact me directly.

At the present time Judge Samuel Alito is waiting for confirmation from the U.S. Senate. Judge Alito receives the highest recommendation from the American Bar Association. Make sure your Senators Feingold 414-276-7282 feingold.senate.gov and Kohl 414-297-4451 kohl.senate.gov know how you feel about a fair up/down vote. No filibuster, confirmation. While you are contacting them, let them know of your thoughts about the Patriot Act.
